MCA From The Beastie Boys Has Cancer

In a sad piece of news revealed yesterday, Adam Yauch aka MCA, of the Beastie Boys has cancer in his parotid gland and will begin undergoing treatment next week. He made this announcement with his friend and band mate Ad-Rock by his side.

As a result of MCA's illness, the Beastie Boys had to pull out of the All Points West Music Festival. They were replaced by Jay-Z, who opened his set with "No Sleep 'til Brooklyn" as a tribute to the group he replaced.
